Thread lift treatment in Nepal at Let Me In Skin Clinic

What Is a Thread Lift?

A thread lift is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that lifts and firms sagging skin using fine, dissolvable threads inserted just beneath the surface. No scalpels, no general anaesthesia, no hospital stay.

Once placed, the threads do two things. First, they physically reposition the skin upward, giving you an immediate visible lift. Second, they trigger your body's collagen production in the treated area. As the threads dissolve over 4 to 6 months, that new collagen remains and continues to firm your skin for 12 to 36 months depending on the thread type.

The procedure takes 30 to 90 minutes at our clinic, and most patients are back at their desk the following day.

Common areas treated at Let Me In:

  • Sagging cheeks and mid-face
  • Jawline definition and early jowls
  • Drooping brows
  • Neck looseness
  • Nasal bridge and tip (nose thread lift)
  • Outer corners of the eyes (fox eye thread lift)

How Does a Thread Lift Work at Let Me In?

Here is exactly what happens from the moment you book to the moment you leave looking noticeably lifted.

Step 1 - Consultation

You meet your dermatologist at one of our three branches. They assess your skin laxity, discuss which thread type suits your goals, and show you realistic before and after examples from our own patients. You receive a written quote. Nothing is booked without your full agreement.

Step 2 - Preparation on the Day

The treatment area is cleansed. A topical numbing cream is applied and left for 20 to 30 minutes. By the time the procedure begins, the area is comfortably numb. Most patients describe the sensation as mild pressure rather than pain.

Step 3 - Thread Insertion (30 to 90 minutes)

Your dermatologist inserts the threads using a fine needle or cannula. The threads are positioned precisely beneath your skin and the tissue is gently lifted. You can watch the change happening in a handheld mirror as each area is treated.

Step 4 - Immediate Results

As soon as the threads are in place, your skin is visibly lifted and firmer. There may be mild swelling or slight redness, which fades within 24 to 72 hours.

Step 5 - Going Home

You leave the clinic within 30 minutes of the procedure finishing. No admission, no overnight stay. You can return to light activity and desk work the following day.

Step 6 - Collagen Builds Over the Following Months

Over the next 8 to 12 weeks, your body lays down new collagen around the threads. Your results improve gradually even after the threads have dissolved. A follow-up appointment is included in your package at 4 to 6 weeks.

Is a Thread Lift Right for You?

Thread lifts work best for people who are beginning to notice signs of ageing but are not ready for or not suited to surgical facelift. Check whether any of the following apply to you.

  • You are between 30 and 55 years old
  • Your cheeks, jawline, or brows are starting to sag
  • You have mild to moderate skin looseness rather than severe drooping
  • You want visible results without surgery or long recovery time
  • You are in good general health with no active skin infections
  • You have an upcoming wedding, festival, or occasion and want to look refreshed

If two or more of the above describe you, a thread lift is likely worth discussing. Book a consultation and your Let Me In dermatologist will confirm whether it is the right fit.

A thread lift is not recommended if:

  • Your skin sagging is severe - a surgical facelift may give better results
  • You are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • You have active acne, infection, or inflammation in the treatment area
  • You have a known sensitivity to PDO, PLLA, or PCL materials

No Pressure

Our consultations are informational. If a thread lift is not the right treatment for you, we will tell you that honestly and suggest what would work better. We would rather you trust us long-term than feel pushed into a procedure.

Thread Lift in Nepal - Frequently Asked Questions

Thread lift prices at Let Me In vary by thread type and the number of areas treated. PDO thread lifts start from NPR [X], PLLA from NPR [X], and PCL from NPR [X]. Nose and fox eye thread lifts are priced separately. You receive a written quote during your consultation at any of our branches in Baneshwor, Maharajgunj, or Pokhara.

Most patients at Let Me In describe the feeling as mild pressure rather than pain. We apply a topical numbing cream 20 to 30 minutes before the procedure, which makes the insertion comfortable for the large majority of patients. If you have a low pain threshold, let your dermatologist know before you begin.

PDO thread lifts typically last 12 to 18 months. PLLA threads last 18 to 24 months, and PCL threads can last up to 24 to 36 months. Individual results depend on skin type, age, sun exposure, and lifestyle. We recommend a maintenance session every 12 to 18 months to keep results looking consistent.

Most Let Me In patients return to desk work the following day. Mild swelling or bruising can occur for 2 to 5 days and is usually easy to cover with light makeup. Heavy exercise, facial massage, and steam rooms should be avoided for one week. Full recovery is typically complete within 7 to 10 days.

Thread lifts physically lift and reposition sagging skin using dissolvable sutures. Fillers add volume to hollow areas. They address different problems. Many patients benefit from combining both treatments. Your Let Me In dermatologist will advise whether one or both are appropriate for your goals during your consultation.

Thread lifts performed by qualified dermatologists are considered very safe. Common side effects include temporary swelling, bruising, and mild soreness at entry points. Rare complications such as thread visibility or asymmetry are significantly reduced when the procedure is performed by a trained specialist. All Let Me In dermatologists hold MBBS MD qualifications in dermatology.

Yes. Let Me In Skin Clinic offers thread lifts at our New Baneshwor and Maharajgunj branches in Kathmandu, and at our Pokhara branch. You can book a consultation at whichever location is most convenient for you at letmein.com.np/appointment-booking.

PDO stands for Polydioxanone, the same material used in surgical sutures for decades. PDO threads are safe, biocompatible, and gradually absorbed by the body over 4 to 6 months. They are the most widely used thread type globally. During dissolution they stimulate collagen production, so your skin continues to firm even after the thread is gone. Results from PDO threads last 12 to 18 months.

Let Me In uses Korean aesthetic techniques and Korean-imported technology. Korean aesthetic medicine has spent decades refining minimally invasive lifting procedures with a focus on natural-looking results rather than dramatic, overdone appearances. Our dermatologists are trained in these techniques and apply them with an understanding of Asian skin types and facial structures, which is directly relevant to Nepali patients.
